She has completed her MBBS from Govt. Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai with 13 medals and was awarded the Best outgoing student. She did her MD in Paediatrics from AIIMS and won the prestigious Sorel Catherine Freyman award for best post-graduate. She became DM in Paediatric Gastroenterology from the esteemed Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
She has also worked in paediatric hepatology unit of many prestigious hospitals. She has several research publications in international journals and is the author of many book chapters.
She has expertise in neonatal and paediatric diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Her areas of interest are paediatric liver diseases, pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel diseases.
